Everyone must call us to dispose of green bags at the Gleason Road Transfer Station. 802-775-7209 x206. Otherwise, you will be charged the full cost of disposal. Requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis. RCSWD staff may refuse to accept items or to charge appropriately at their discretion.

We are not accepting scrap metal, hazardous waste and some other items at this time. Please see our Reopening Updates for the latest information.

GREEN UP, STAY SAFE:

Make sure to follow safe Green Up practices as well as Covid-19 precautions and requirements. Some include:

-Wear sun protection, masks, gloves and other appropriate personal protective equipment
-Know what to do if you find a needle
