The Gleason Road Transfer Station has a leaf and yard waste recycling program. The leaf collection program accepts leaves and grass clippings. The brush and yard waste program accepts woody material unlimited in length and up to 24 inches in diameter.

The leaf material will be used as bulking agent for a compost program. The brush and woody material is ground and sent to a biomass facility for the generation of electricity.
